About Me

Hi! I’m Ege Tezcan — an architecture graduate based in Oxford. I recently completed my BA in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University, following a Foundation in Art & Design at the same institution. This blog is a space where I document my creative process, share project work, and reflect on the intersection of architecture, technology, and storytelling.

My design practice is shaped by a deep interest in digital toolsvisual storytelling, and phenomenology in space. I’m particularly drawn to the potential of video games, virtual environments, and roleplay scenarios as immersive architectural experiences as well as acting. This interest has guided both my academic projects and my personal explorations into how digital spaces can evoke emotion and meaning.

I was born in Izmir, Turkey in 2003. After completing my early education there, I moved to the UK in 2018. I completed my GCSEs at Gosford Hill School, then studied Level 3 Business at City of Oxford College before transitioning into design and architecture. My diverse educational background has helped me develop a unique blend of creative, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Alongside my studies, I’ve worked in both office and retail environments. I gained industry insight and communication skills while assisting at Tez Yapı Construction, my family’s business. I also developed strong teamwork and time management abilities through part-time roles at The Egg Café & Sandwich Shop and currently at TK Maxx.

In addition to architecture and digital design, I enjoy photographywebsite creation, and exploring the relationship between language and identity. I speak Turkish (native), English (fluent), and have studied German. I’m curious about other cultures and languages, and I find they often inspire my approach to space and design.
